At the Castle
"I'm sure it'll be fine."

"If you say so," he said more to himself than to Kim as he checked out and carried his purchases to the car. He had to hurry and go buy gas before his car rolled to an unsatisfactory stop on the side of the road and then Kim would really be on her own...at least for a while longer.

"Where are you right now?"

"Just leaving the market," he said as he slipped the bags into the back seat of the car and once again hopped into the front. He was already beginning to feel the stress of the day weighing down on his shoulders as he cranked the car and rolled out of the space. He tilted his head fron side to side relishing in the cracks he heard. He really needed a nap, but the day was only just beginning. He was sure he wouldn't get to turn in until well past midnight with Tyler and Will and their 'surprise' for him and Kim planned. "I should be at the house in about fifteen minutes. I have to stop and get gas first," he said as he pulled into a station. He rolled up to a pump, placing Kim on hold as he pumped six gallons of gas, paid and wheeled out again. He'd heard too many horror stories about cell phones starting gas fires and being paranoid, he didn't want to be added to one of those horrible legends. He brought the phone back to his ear.

"Hey, maybe tonight you could spend the night. I think a deep massage could do us both some good," he said blushing at his own dirty talk. He rarely did it, but yeah, a guy had his needs and he was sure Kim would be fine with it. "We'll just have to get away from the guys for a bit. That shouldn't be a problem. You know how Tyler and Will are when they get together. They'll keep themselves entertained."

On the other end he could hear Tyler speaking to Kim and he paused to listen. "Oh, well. I'll let you go then. I know you have to get ready. See ya in a little while," he said. He didn't want to over do it by adding 'love ya' or something cheesy and romantic like that at the end. Plus, he wasn't sure if they were at that level yet. He'd have to wait and see.

Getting to the house first he brought all his things inside the house, huffing exhaustedly as he closed the front door. He looked around the empty house that never seemed to be clean enough for his taste. Well, cleaning would have to wait. He'd make Tyler and Will help later on. That should be a feat all its own. Ignoring the mess for the time being he put the groceries away and moved upstairs for a shower, lingering longer than necessary underneath the hot water.

ooc: sorry about the wait.

"Alright thanks Tyler," Kim said, covering the speaker in the phone. "I'll see you both in a bit." She quickly got out and grabbed her bags. "Bye," she said with a bit of a wave to the two in the car as she turned her attention back to the phone. "Alright Jay. Talk to you when I get there. Try and avoid getting cornered by Will and Tyler. The look like they're very excited about tonight."

When she finally reached her apartment Kim she threw the bags in her room and checked her messages. One message from her father and another from the studio asking if she wanted to work later in the week on one of her days off. Quickly scribbling a note to remind herself to call both places back she headed off to take a quick shower before she had to leave for the Castle.

After a quick change and blow drying her hair Kim grabbed her keys and purse before turning off the lights to her apartment and starting to head over. She flipped open her phone and called over to the house. After a few rings she got the answering machine and rolled her eyes. The guys were probably already picking on Jay. "Hey guys, I'm on my way over now. I hope you aren't picking on Jay too much," she added before hanging up and pulling on her seat belt.

Starting the car she began the short journey to the castle.

The drive to the Castle was an uneventful one. Will couldn't concentrate on the conversation Tyler tried to pull him into and though he said a few things he couldn't really tell you what the conversation was about. When they got to the house he grabbed his things from the back seat where he'd left them and started up the walk way to the house that stood massive as ever. He remembered his first day at this house.

It had been very nervewracking as, but like any situation that made him feel uncomfortable he pushed those feelings aside and did the job at hand. He walked in and befriended two guys he knew he would have to betray one day. Difficult? Not really. He had perfected the noble art of lying many years ago during his first deployment and that day had been no different. Not until he finally began to see these two guys as more than jobs did he find that the job was a bit harder than he first expected.

Will turned the knob to the front door and pushed inside. "Honey, we're home," he called out to a seemingly empty house, but he knew Jay was there. One, his car was in the drive way and two, his school bags were on the floor beside the door. He kicked his shoes off and moved into the living room, dropping down on the couch next to his camcorder that he'd left there this morning. He slipped in a new disc and tried it out to make sure the damn thing recorded. It would be no use to him if he couldn't review the things he recorded and hopefully tonight he would get a bit more footage to help him do whatever the hell Hometown wanted with the footage. There plan had been unclear and he'd been trained to not ask questions.

He turned and pointed the camera at Tyler and grinned. "We should get tonight on camera. Jay will thank us when we replay this humiliating night over and over," he said laughing.

Okay, so Will had totally zoned out on him. No biggie. In all honestly, whatever was coming out of Tyler's mouth was probably not that pivotal. Hardly ever was. Sure, every now and then he'd get worked up about something important - usually when he was persuaded to pursue the subject by one of his friends, but that's about it. He wasn't exactly a 'deep' kinda guy, although he was deeper than most people gave him credit for. It was all part of his charm. But a hint of mystery kept a person interesting, so you didn't want to give everything away right off the bat. Not that he had that many layers, but he had more than one ( contrary to popular belief ). He just pretended he didn't. It was much more fun to let people think they actually knew him, though Jay and Will got a sneak peek into the true inner-workings of his mind.

Tyler smirked when Will referred to Jay as 'honey.' If there had been any sincerity behind the affectionate term, he would've been a little bit disturbed by it, but it was all in jest. Jay was just such an easy target. Nice guys usually were. Plus, since he'd had to do the grocery shopping for the day, that made him a little girlie-er than the rest of them, which resulted in even more teasing. Ha. Although someone had to restock them on food, 'cause the cabinets and fridge had gotten pretty bare. Alright, so maybe that had something to do with the fact that he and Will had this secret pact to empty the kitchen as much as possible when it was Jay's turn to go the store. Probably not wise, considering he was mister frugal, 'we musn't spend too much or buy more than we need.' But it was fun to picture him pushing around a buggy loaded with all sorts of goodies. Talk about a guy with a monster appetite ...

And Will was ... well, Will. He'd already started fiddling around with that stupid camcorder he was so obsessed with. Seriously, you'd think it was glued to his hand. But whatever. Everyone had their thing. Couldn't hurt the guy to have more than one hobby though. And- smile! He was on candid camera! Okay, not really. It was just Will, shoving the thing in his face again. Luckily Tyler was not a shy individual, and he felt that the world could learn a little something from him. He also considered himself easy on the eyes, if you catch my drift. That's right, ladies. Eat your hearts out.

He gave a broad smile and his best 'stud face' for whatever audience might someday be viewing this tape before he took to leaning against the wall. Then he cast a brief glance up the stairs before replying. "It's all about the memories." That was his way of saying he agreed. The only disadvantage of having a documentary of ... well, their lives, basically, was that it was next to impossible to deny something he'd said or done that he otherwise might've wanted to conveniently forget about or omit. There probably was a delete button, but he didn't go screwing around with the guys' things. He didn't want his stuff touched, and he tried to respect their boundaries too. Not saying that always happened, but he tried. At least he was making an effort. The Fog family didn't really know the meaning of the word 'no.' So he was still learning.

"Jay will thank us later." He probably wouldn't, but oh well. It was all in good fun! And life was all about fun.

It was very tempting to try calling again to reach Jay in hopes that when she rang the bell there wouldn't be an ambush of some kind waiting for her on the other side of the door. She could just see it now. Will and Tyler having Jay tied up as a prisoner of war behind them wielding something like the Nerf guns that were popular when they had all been in grade school. Even an innocent image like that caused her to shake off the creepy shiver that was coming.

"Man up Kim," she mumbled, pulling onto the right street. "It won't be that bad." Looking out the window she drove waiting for the Castle to come into view before parking on the street and getting out.

The events of the afternoon made her smile and think it might not be as bad as she thought as she walked up to the front porch. Tyler had been more than helpful and Will had been polite at 'lunch'. Pausing a moment she took a breathe then knocked. Here it was. A night of fun and games.

There was no way she was going to let Will and Tyler get both her and Jay without a bit of retaliation. Currently she had no ammo but she was sure before the night was out they'd all have had some fun.

Ah! It's my turn. Sorry guys. I'm about to start college classes for the first time so I got caught up in it. lol

It's fine. Your first day!!!! I hope it's more eventful than my first day was. I can't even remember that day. I was so overwhelmed. ^.^

Good luck with that! I realize this is like ... way late. But better late than never, right? Classes started back up for me last Monday, so I'll be slower at tagging too. At the rate we go though, I don't think it'll be too big of an adjustment. I still try and average a post a day so I don't get way backlogged.

Anyway, Jay's up next, right? Then I'll go in between Jay and Will so Eros doesn't have to post twice in a row. Sound good?

Hope you like college! Don't let it overwhelm you. Ha, what am I talking about? I've been going for years, and I still stress about it. I worry a lot though - sometimes even unnecessarily, so you shouldn't let it get you too worked up. I actually like it better than high school ... aside from missing some of my high school friends. A few of which I've spotted in the halls of the university I go to, so that's neat! The hardest part for me is doing well on the tests and papers, 'cause they count for so much of your grade. Basically all of it, once you combine all the scores. I'm not a fabulous test taker, and I hate research papers, blah. Then there's the numerous student loans I'll have to pay off once I graduate. Those aren't bound to be too much fun either, but I still have awhile for that. My point being that I've managed to stay afloat just fine, and I'm sure you will too. - hugs -

Aww thanks Jess! I'm a bit excited. My first week was pretty good. I know almost no one though and it kind of sucks that everyone already has their own little cliques. No I remember why I wasn't the BIGGEST fan of high school. OH wells. I'm having fun so it's all good.

You can post now if you'd like to piss Jay off lol or else I guess we could shoot a message to Eros. *shrug* You two can battle it out I guess. Or I could post for Jay if Eros would like. :)

-dies- Sorry I haven't been around to post. A family friend passed away and between that and classes I haven't been up to rping much at all. And the Traveler buzz is dying. It's hard to write for these guys when I haven't watched Traveler in a long time. ^.^ It takes longer to get in the right mindset. :( Anywho, once I finish studying Bio I'll get a post up for Jay,though I remember agreeing to pass him around between us. -shrugs-

I will gladly post for him. :)
I just wasn't sure if you had something planned or not. Let me know.
I'm sorry about your friend. :( that's never fun. Hope everything gets better soon!

I'm so sorry about your friend. - hugs - You and your family will be in my prayers. It's perfectly understandable that you haven't been up to posting. Classes are keeping me pretty busy too, so don't worry about it. Take all the time you need. We're not going anywhere. <3

I know what you mean. Sometimes it is hard. That's usually when I go back and re-watch the episodes I taped. ;x

Good luck with the studying.
